
H.E. Manasa Tagicakibau is the 6th Ambassador of the Republic of Fiji to China, joining the Embassy in August of 2018.
His career started as a Bank Officer for 3 years (1986-1989) before joining the Fiji Military Forces in 1989 as Officer Cadet. He progressed up the rank to Lieutenant Colonel and was with the Fiji Military for more than 23 years (1989-2012).

From 2012 – 2015, H.E. Tagicakibau was Director of the Fiji National Disaster Management Officer (NDMO). From 2015 to before taking up his post as Ambassador to China, he was the Commissioner, Western Division.
In this role, he oversaw the implementation of key Government Projects in the Western Division in the areas of Health, Education, Water systems, Electricity Roads, jetties, agriculture, fisheries, and forestry.
He was also the Divisional Disaster Controller during his time as Commissioner Western that oversaw Government’s response and rehabilitation operations during Super-Storm Category 5, Tropical Cyclone Winston in 2016. TC Winston was of the strongest ever cyclones to hit landfall in the South Pacific.
H.E Tagicakibau is happily married with four Children.
