The Tourism Sector is the main driver of economic growth, and largest source of investment and foreign exchange earnings. It is private sector driven and globally competitive, however, Government continues to support its highest foreign exchange earner sector.

Australia and New Zealand has remained top 2 arrivals by destination country, however there are growing market include: China, Canada, Europe, and other Asian Countries. As of 2017, tourism earning was $1.9 billion, which is equivalent to 32% of Fiji’s Nominal GDP (source: Tourism Fiji).
